Shrinkage (decrease in size): from low to medium. Durability and mechanical characteristics: low-medium hardness, good resistance to the heartwood, rosy-brown color. Main uses: in any sector in the craftsmanship and in the wood industry, the chestnut is an excellent wood both for interiors and exteriors.
